A curated bundle of our most-requested additions—adding convenience, additional documentation, and personal support where clients want it.
Your core Will, Trust, or LPA service includes the professional work needed for the standard service you have chosen. Most clients do not need every possible extra, so these options let you add convenience, additional documentation or personal support only where it helps.
Each option is individually priced so you only pay for what you choose.
All published prices are fixed and transparent.
From time to time, Fern Wills & LPAs may apply courtesy credit against selected Enhanced Personal Options, where agreed in advance or shown clearly on your invoice.

Some services may include an agreed meeting or visit as part of the main instruction process, depending on the service, location and scope confirmed in your quote.
Where you need a separate signing appointment, follow-up home visit, professional witnessing visit or further face-to-face meeting, the fee is £100 and includes one professional witness where needed and appropriate for signing. A second professional witness is available at £50.
For any visit where your home is more than 30 miles from Rugby (CV23 0UQ) or Welford (NN6 6HN), we charge an additional £2 per mile beyond the 30-mile radius, quoted in advance.
Offered at our discretion where practical and appropriate.
Priority drafting and scheduling - £75
Prioritises your documents for the next available drafting slot and accelerates your usual timetable without compromising quality. Aims to produce drafts within three working days of full instruction, subject to all information being provided, and offers earlier or out-of-hours appointments where possible.
Ideal for clients managing travel, hospital or health appointments, urgent family circumstances, separation or relocation, upcoming property transactions, or limited family availability for signing.
Additional watermarked Will and Letter of Wishes copies — £35 per document
Your Will service already includes a printed original and a PDF copy of each Will and any Letter of Wishes.
Clients who use our recommended professional storage service receive a watermarked reference copy of all documents stored without charge.
Some clients request additional watermarked reference copies for their executors.
Other clients choose to take the risk of arranging their own storage (for example, in a home fireproof box, with an alternative provider, or sometimes with no safe storage at all). If you are taking this route, additional watermarked copies can help by providing trusted executors with their own reference copy and by keeping a backup set in a separate place.
Please note that there can only ever be one legally valid Will – the original signed with a wet-ink signature. All other copies are for reference and storage convenience only and must not be altered or used in place of the signed original.
Letter of Wishes — £50
Adds personal guidance for executors or trustees in your own words.
Usually private, although it may need to be disclosed in a dispute. Easy to update, and supplied in Word and PDF format with printed copies.
Often used to explain decisions, values, or care preferences.
Dynamic Commentary and / or Visual Will Summary — £15
Plain-English companion copy with a simple flow chart showing how your Will operates in practice, ideal for family discussion or record-keeping.
Self-certified copies — £35 each
Your core LPA service already includes the registered original for each LPA.
Self-certified copy sets provide extra working copies for attorneys and close family, each clearly marked as a copy and signed in line with Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) requirements.
They are designed for day-to-day use with banks, utilities and care providers, so the signed original can stay safely stored. They are not a substitute for secure storage of the registered original document.
Clients who use our recommended professional storage service receive a watermarked reference copy of all documents stored without charge.
If you also choose professional storage for your LPAs, the originals remain protected while these self-certified copies are used in practice.
Certificate provider service — £100
For Lasting Powers of Attorney only. Where appropriate, we can act as certificate provider, confirming that we have discussed the LPA with you and are satisfied that you understand it and are making it freely.
This is offered at our discretion, subject to independence, suitability, and the circumstances of the appointment.
If a medical or specialist opinion is needed instead, we can introduce a trusted adviser whose own fees will apply.
Capacity record at signing — £100
Written record of the relevant meeting, confirming the client’s apparent understanding, instructions, and consent under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
If a more detailed assessment by a registered nurse is needed, we can introduce a trusted adviser whose own fees will apply.
Enduring / Lasting Power of Attorney OPG Search and Deed of Revocation — £35 per person
Checks for any existing Enduring or Lasting Powers of Attorney and prepares Deeds of Revocation to cancel them, so your new Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) registration reflects your current wishes.
Land Registry services
Support with official Land Registry updates linked to Trust or property arrangements, including:
• Title Deed copy and search — £15
• Mutual severance of joint tenancy (e.g. 50:50 / 70:30) — £100
• Unilateral severance — £150
• Register death of joint proprietor — £100
Severance of joint tenancy explained – many couples or co-owners hold property as beneficial joint tenants, meaning the survivor automatically inherits the other’s share.
Converting this to tenants in common (50:50 etc.) ensures each person controls where their share passes under their own Will. This is a key first step when setting up Property Protection or Life Interest Trusts.
Where Land Registry work is needed as part of a Trust package, we will confirm what is included in your quote. The fees above apply to standalone requests.
