There’s something beautifully human about choosing the music we want played when we say goodbye. Whether it’s Sinatra’s My Way, a touch of Beyoncé, or something gloriously unexpected (Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, anyone?) — our funeral playlists say a lot about us. But here’s something else they say, unintentionally:

More people plan their funeral music than their finances.

According to a Lloyds Bank study, 80% of adults have picked their final tracklist, while just 59% have written a will. That’s right — we’re more likely to sort out our Spotify than our estate.

🧾 You’ve Got the Soundtrack… But What About the Script?

It’s understandable. Some people imagine it will feel legal, heavy, maybe even a bit intimidating.

Music? That’s emotional, expressive, and easy. But when we’ve taken the time to choose the right exit song, yet left nothing formal in place for our family, it raises some awkward questions:

  • More BeyoncĂ© than beneficiaries?
  • Music to die for… but what about the money?
  • Is your will still on mute?
  • You’ve got the soundtrack—but what about the script?

💬 Let’s Flip the Script

Here’s the good news: writing your will doesn’t need to be a grand ordeal. A chat with us can be as easy as discussing your playlist; what you want, why and when.

It’s one of the most caring, powerful things you can do for your family. And it can be done simply, clearly, even with a few laughs along the way. We’re here to help make it easy—and human. Whether you’ve just had a baby, bought your first home, or want to tick that “adulting” box, now’s a good time. Not because something bad is around the corner. But peace of mind is something we all deserve.

🎼 Legacy > Lyrics

So by all means, line up your favourite tune. Belt it out. But don’t let your playlist outlive your plan. Let’s talk wills.

It’s not about death, it’s about those you’ll leave behind.
